No pesticide, herbicide, growth hormone, chemical fertilizer or additive is used.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>A CAREFUL SELECTION OF PLANT EXTRACTS AND MATERIALS<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>All plant extracts used by Natureight are natural and carefully selected in order to ensure the quality of our products in its entirety. Each ingredient used during the production process is certified \u201cFood Grade\u201d, which means the materials used is adapted to human consumption.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, the capsules used for the manufacture of our\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/natureight.com\/en\/products\/caps\/\"><em><strong>Caps<\/strong><\/em><\/a> range are made of 100% vegetable cellulose and are lactose-free, thus making our products appropriate for vegans.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>A SUPERCRITICAL CO<\/strong><sub>2<\/sub><strong> EXTRACTION PROCESS<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>To extract CBD from hemp, we use a supercritical CO<sub>2<\/sub> extraction process. Low extraction temperature guarantees that all the beneficial molecules are preserved, while maintaining the biochemical balance of the plant. This is by far the safest and gentlest method, which\u00a0 also respects the environment.<\/p>\n<p>Unlike extraction methods based on Butane, which are not beneficial for human consumption and leave a unpleasant residue flavour in the product, extraction process based on CO<sub>2<\/sub> permits the exclusion of the presence of solvents in the finished products<\/p>\n<h4><strong>\u201cCOLD\u201d DECARBOOXYLATION<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>As it grows, the hemp plant passes through a process of photosynthesis: CO<sub>2<\/sub> is absorbed and combines with hydrogen present in the plant to create carboxylic acid. This process is known as carboxylation.<\/p>\n<p>The main carboxylic acid of our interest is CBDA, the precursor to CBD. As the plant grows, it only contains CBDA and not CBD. Decarboxylation is a chemical reaction in which the carboxyl group COOH is eliminated, in the form of H20 and CO<sub>2<\/sub> (water and carbon dioxide).<\/p>\n<p><b>To make it simpler, decarboxylation is the process that consists of heating hemp to activate CBD and other cannabinoids<\/b>. However, Natureight uses a decarboxylation process below 120 degrees, in order to avoid any degradation of the molecules present in the extract..<\/p>\n<p>Like other cannabinoids, CBDA has no psychoactive effect. Previously considered inactive, <em><a href=\"https:\/\/natureight.com\/what-is-cbd\/#cbda\">several recent studies<\/a> <\/em>have examined the potential advantages of CBDA and have discovered in it, among other beneficial properties, anti-inflammatory and anti-proliferating ones.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>FULL SPECTRUM PLANT EXTRACTS<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>For the development of our food supplements, Natureight has chosen to work with full spectrum extracts of the hemp plant.
